أهمية السياحة من مِنّا لا يحب أن يُرفّه عن نفسه أو أن يزور أماكن جميلة ويستكشفها لكسر الروتين، واستعادة النشاط، والهروب من ضغوطات الحياة؟ لذا فإننا نلجأ إلى ما يُسمى بالسياحة داخليّة كانت أم خارجية، والسياحة هي تغيير مكان إقامة الفرد فترة من الزمان، لغايات عدّة قد يكون الترفيه عن النفس إحداها، وتكون السياحة بانتقال فرد أو مجموعة من الأفراد من مكان لآخر داخل البلاد ويُسمّى هذا النوع من السياحة بالسياحة الداخلية، فيما تُسمّى السياحة خارجية إذا انتقل السائح خارج حدود دولته لمدّة لا تزيد عن عام. للسياحة أنواع عدّة ومنها السياحة الترفيهية كما سلف الذكر، والسياحة العلاجيّة التي يقصد بها الأفراد بعض الأماكن للاستشفاء من الأمراض والأوجاع، ومنها ما هو ديني يكون بقصد زيارة بعض المعالم الدينية في بلد معيّن، ومنها السياحة الثقافيّة التي تكون بقصد ملاحظة آثار الحضارات، واكتساب المعلومات حول هذا البلد، وقد قال تعالى في ذلك: (قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانظُرُوا كَيْفَ بَدَأَ الْخَلْقَ ۚ ثُمَّ اللَّهُ يُنشِئُ النَّشْأَةَ الْآخِرَةَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ) (العنكبوت، آية: 20)، وتنطوي على السياحة فوائد كثيرة للبلد التي يقصدها السُيّاح حيث تُنمّي السياحة الدخل القومي له، وتنتعشه اقتصادياً، وتزيد من فرص العمل فيه، كما تُسهم في تنمية المناطق السياحية عند توفير الخدمات مثل الماء، والكهرباء وتسهيل الطرق، بالإضافة إلى اعتبارها جسراً قائماً بين البلدان لتبادل الثقافات بين السيّاح والمواطنين من لغة وعادات حميدة وغيرهما.

Tourism has several types, including recreational tourism, as mentioned above, and medical tourism, in which individuals go to some places to recover from diseases and pains, including what is religious, with the intention of visiting some religious monuments in a specific country, and including cultural tourism, which is with the intention of observing the effects of civilizations, and gaining information about This country, and God Almighty said in that: (Say: Walk in the land, and look at how to start the creation ۚ Then God creates the hereafter, for God is the one) Tourism develops its national income, revitalizes it economically, and increases job opportunities in it. It also contributes to the development of tourist areas when providing services such as water, electricity and facilitating roads, in addition to being considered a bridge between countries for the exchange of cultures between tourists and citizens of good language and customs and others.
